Privacy Policy
Your privacy and data security are fundamental to RN Test Pro. This policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.
Last updated: August 19, 2026
Our Commitment to Privacy
At RN Test Pro, we believe that effective NCLEX preparation requires trust. We are committed to transparent data practices that protect your personal information while delivering personalized learning experiences. This policy outlines our practices in compliance with applicable privacy laws and regulations.
Clinical Scenario Context
Just as nurses protect patient confidentiality under HIPAA, we protect your learning data with similar diligence. Your practice question responses, study patterns, and performance metrics are treated with the same care you'd give to sensitive patient information.
For example, when you answer a question about managing a patient's potassium imbalance, your response helps us personalize future questions—similar to how EHR data informs patient-specific care plans while maintaining privacy.
Information We Collect
Account Information
- Email address and password for account creation
- Name and optional profile information
- Nursing program details for personalized content
Learning Data
- Question responses and accuracy patterns
- Study time and session analytics
- Topic performance and improvement trends
How We Use Your Information
Personalized Learning
Your performance data helps us adapt question difficulty, recommend study topics, and create customized study plans—similar to how adaptive NCLEX testing works.
Improving Our Platform
We analyze anonymized usage patterns to identify areas where learners struggle, allowing us to enhance our content and tools—like how nursing educators use exam data to adjust curricula.
Support and Communication
We use your contact information to send important updates about your NCLEX preparation, respond to inquiries, and provide support—just as nurses use patient contact information for follow-up care.
Analytics and Commerce Measurement
Optional analytics
If you allow analytics, we record when a browser views Pricing or selects a plan, the source of that selection, the page path without its query string, the plan identifier, the time, and random visitor and session identifiers. Google Analytics may also receive consented website and checkout events, a sanitized page path, page title and referrer path, browser, device, and session information, and approximate location derived from an IP address. Google says the IP address used for location is discarded before it is logged. We do not start this optional collection, load Google Analytics, or create an analytics visitor identifier unless you choose Allow analytics.
Essential checkout records
When a signed-in user saves a plan or starts checkout, we keep first-party operational records needed to provide and secure the purchase flow. These can include the account and plan identifiers, where checkout started, checkout status, a discount code and calculated discount, transaction identifiers, failure category, purchase amount, currency, and timestamps. These records are created whether analytics is allowed or declined; without consent, they are not given our analytics visitor or session identifiers.
What this measurement does not collect
Our commerce analytics do not include passwords, practice-question answers, raw page query strings, or payment-card details. Stripe processes payment-card details for checkout. A random visitor identifier represents one browser profile, not necessarily one person: the same person may use several browsers or devices, and several people may share one browser. Visitor counts are therefore estimates, not counts of unique people.
Data Protection
Security Measures
- Industry-standard encryption for data in transit and at rest
- Secure cloud infrastructure for hosting and data storage
- Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
- Access controls limiting data to authorized personnel only
Data Retention
- Learning data retained for 24 months to track progress
- Account information retained while active; anonymized after deletion
- Our first-party raw commerce events, analytics visitor identifiers, and saved checkout selections retained for no more than 90 days
- Analytics session identifier expires after 30 minutes; your allow or decline preference expires after 180 days
- Google Analytics cookies are configured to last up to 90 days after the most recent consenting activity. Google Analytics event-level data is retained for 2 months and user-level data for 14 months, with the user period reset by new activity; aggregated standard reports may remain longer
- Request deletion anytime via account settings
Third-Party Services
We rely on the following trusted third-party services to operate the platform. Each maintains its own privacy policy, and we encourage you to review them.
- Supabase: Database and authentication services
- Stripe: Payment processing
- Google reCAPTCHA: Bot and abuse prevention
- Google Analytics: Optional, consent-based website and checkout analytics using sanitized page paths rather than raw query strings
- Vercel: Website hosting
- Google: Social login authentication
Your Rights
Access and Correction
Review and update your personal information at any time through your account dashboard.
Data Portability
Export your learning data in standard formats to continue studying elsewhere if needed.
Deletion
Delete your account and associated data permanently through account settings.
Objection to Processing
Object to the processing of your personal data where you have grounds relating to your particular situation.
Withdraw Consent
Open Privacy choices in the site footer or your Profile and turn analytics off at any time. We stop optional collection immediately, disable Google Analytics, clear the browser's analytics identifiers and accessible Google Analytics cookies, and ask our server to suppress those identifiers. If that request cannot sync, analytics stays off in your browser and you can retry. Withdrawal does not affect processing that occurred before it.
Cookies
We use essential cookies and storage to maintain your session, protect the service, remember your theme, and support payments. Optional analytics cookies and random visitor identifiers are created only after you allow analytics. Google's _ga and measurement-specific _ga_* cookies are configured to last up to 90 days after your most recent consenting activity. Unknown or missing consent is treated as declined, and declining or later withdrawing analytics removes accessible analytics cookies and does not disable essential features. Your choice is stored for up to 180 days so we can respect it on later visits.
Children's Privacy
RN Test Pro is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can remove it.
